The government’s approach in free trade zones is the development of export-oriented production

Dr. Madani-Zadeh, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, stated that the government’s main approach in free trade zones is the development of export-oriented production.
The Minister of Economy said that within the framework of the “Silk Road” initiative designed by China, during a visit to China accompanied by Iran’s President, strong emphasis was placed in the meeting between the two presidents on routing the East–West corridor through Iran. This issue provides a very golden opportunity to connect the East to the West.
He noted that economic diplomacy is one of the country’s central and strategic decisions, adding that the Supreme Leader has also placed special emphasis on this issue in recent meetings with officials. We expect economic actors, especially in the Sarakhs Free Zone, not to consider economic diplomacy solely as the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We, in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and its affiliated bodies, consider ourselves responsible and committed to playing an active role in this field.
