Production of Composite Marine Parts (Pontoons) in the Qeshm Free Zone

Production of Composite Marine Parts (Pontoons) in the Qeshm Free Zone

Pontoons are floating platforms used at docks where ships berth in marine waters and on the surface of the sea, allowing movement over water. These materials are resistant to saltwater and, unlike steel-based vessels, do not corrode. This type of structure can also be used in the construction of fish and shrimp farms, by creating corridors for supervision of fish farming cages.

Given the presence of numerous docks across the island for cargo and passenger transport, the production and maintenance of floating pontoons holds strong economic justification.
