Qeshm International Airport is one of the five private airports in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was inaugurated and became operational in 1997. Located on the A1 air corridor, a key international route in the western Middle East connecting to the Far East, it offers a strategic position for passenger movement, cargo transit, catering, and fuel sales to overflying aircraft.
The airport can store over 3.5 million liters of fuel daily for wide-body aircraft, is equipped with one of the world\u2019s most advanced airport fire trucks (Panther 6\u00d76), and holds Category 9 firefighting status.
The expansion of the airport to launch and increase domestic and international flights, support cargo flights, and capitalize on fuel transit is a strategic priority for investment by the Qeshm Free Zone Organization.
Currently, Qeshm International Airport operates more than 10 domestic and international flights daily to destinations such as Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Dubai, making it one of the largest airports in southern Iran.<\/p>\n
